10th GRADERS VISITED COURTHOUSE

On Monday, December the 7th, HSA’s tenth grade students had the opportunity to visit the El Paso County Courthouse and gain some insight to how different government sectors work. Students toured the law library, the 8th District Court of Appeals, and the Commissioners Court room. They also had the opportunity to speak to Commissioner Veronica Escobar and Commissioner Daniel Haggerty who invited our students into his office for a tour and a sit-down. Here students were able to ask questions and learn about public service opportunities. It was quite an eye-opening experience, especially for students planning to a future in government and law.
